Region:  Italy - Lazio
Blend: Merlot
Vineyard: Vines with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvigon grapes grown on the University of Dallas’ study abroad campus, located just south of Rome, Italy.

 

 

Lovely amber color with floral tones on the nose. Citrus and mineral flavors with notable peach and orange hints lingering till the end. 

Enjoy on its own or with light, fresh fare. Your perfect wine for enjoying time outside, especially by the grill.

 

Andre Bonhomme Mâcon Villages Vieilles Vignes 2018 (white)

Region: France - Bourgogne - Mâconnais - Mâcon - Mâcon-Villages
Blend: Chardonnay
Vineyard: Domaine covers 11 hectares located on the clay and limestone soils of both the Viré and Clessé communes.


Andre Bonhomme Mâcon Villages Vieilles Vignes 2018 (white)

 

This is a true benchmark producer of the region. The family owns a couple of hectares outside the Viré-Clessé boundaries, from which they make this wine. It is aged in tanks for 18 months, and shows floral and citrus aromas and flavors. 


Try this wine with goat cheese, charcuterie, or seafood. Feeling adventurous? They also recommend this with frog's legs or escargots.

 

Domaine Jean-François Quénard Chignin “Anne de la Biguerne” 2018 (white)

 

Region: France - Savoie
Blend: Jacquère
Vineyard: Domaine is comprised of 19 hectares sitting on the region’s typical limestone-clay, optimally exposed slopes.

This cuvée is made from 1 hectare of 65-year-old Jacquere vines, grown on clay and limestone soils. After being harvested by hand, the grapes undergo a long fermentation with full malolactic. The lees are stirred in the tank for two months to give the wine additional richness and complexity. Production is just over 600 cases a year.

The wine shows mineraled notes (tonic) as well as higher-pitched floral notes.

Excellent with grilled fish, shellfish, and the local Savoyard charcuterie.

Domaine du Petit Août "La Memoire Neuve" 2018 (red)

Region: France - Vin de Pays - Méditerranée - Hautes-Alpes
Blend: Mollard
Vineyard: 6 hectares in production with the following varieties: Mollard, Roussanne, Clairette, Muscat, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Marsanne. Ages of the vines have large range: 5-55 years.

Grapes are hand-harvested in small batches, then fermented and aged in fiberglass tanks with daily pump-overs. The juice undergoes a 7-day fermentation period, after which the free-run and press wines are blended. After malolactic, the wine is aged for 6 months in fiberglass tanks on its fine lees and is bottled after a light filtration. Notes of Morello cherry and black fruit with a savory note of black pepper. 

 

Soft on the palate, this is a very versatile wine that can be enjoyed with anything you might put on your dinner table.

Domaine Fabien Trosset Arbin Mondeuse “Les Eboulis” (red)

Region: France - Savoie
Blend: Mondeuse Noire
Vineyard: Domaine covers 16 hectares, with 13 planted to red and 3 to white. Vines have an average age of 35 years.

This wine is killer. It has a deep ruby color. Blackberry with a bit of red fruit peeking through, along with a touch of pepper. A hint of herbs (mountain herbs, as in Chartreuse) come through on the rich, full-bodied palate. The lightly tannic finish is also long.

Vineyard: Vines with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown on the University of Dallas’ study abroad campus, located just south of Rome, Italy.


Deep purple in color and rich and satisfying in taste. Complex and seductive hints of dark-blooded forest fruits, just enough but not too much leather, and then a hint of smokey wood aromas from our newly-acquired casks.

 

The 2019 Rosso is a killer steak wine. The best for red meat that has come from Due Santi thus far. Break out the grill for these bottles.
